Hi everybody!
My name is Cris. I’m a volunteer from AFS Spain since February 2018. Now, I live in Ciudad Rodrigo, a beautiful city between Salamanca and Portugal, the town where I grew up. But I have been living for twenty years abroad: two years in Belgium, three years in the North of Guatemala and fifteen years in Samaná (Dominican Republic). I was working in the development cooperation field. My two sons were born and grew up there (now they are teenagers), and they have four nationalities because their father is Belgian and French, and I’m Spanish. We feel global citizens!
I love running, cycling and swimming. I need to move to feel well. I love dancing too, reading all kinds of novels, going to the cinema and the theatre, and talking about how to solve the world’s problems with my friends.
I like learning and studying, and I think I could never stop. When I finished my high school, I studied Journalism, and later, Anthropology and Social Pedagogy and now a Master in Intercultural Education… I’m an addict of learning…
