Abdelrahman – Logistics

Hello everyone!

I’m Abdelrahman Nagy from Egypt

Mechanical Engineering graduate, currently working as a Manufacturing Supervisor at PepsiCo – Pepsi Cola Egypt (Production and Maintenance).

Back in 2013, I was an exchange student in Italy and lived in Rome, an experience that truly sparked my love for traveling.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me horseback riding, swimming, or passionately cheering for Real Madrid.

This is my first time at the PEACE Camp, and I’m super excited to meet you all, share stories, and create amazing memories together!

Alice – Logistics

Hi, my name is Alice, but you can call me Alicio! I had my exchange year in 2018/2019 in Jodhpur, a “small” city in India, and since then I’ve been an enthusiastic volunteer for Intercultura (AFS Italy). I’m currently a political science student in Rome. My dream is to live in many different countries, but I know I’ll always be drawn back to Italy – I simply love this country too much! In my free time, you’ll find me at the gym, hanging out with friends, spending time in nature, or reading… basically, embracing the dolce far niente.

Aurora – Content & Media Support

I’m a motivated and enthusiastic bachelor student at Ca’ Foscari University, currently studying Philosophy, Economics, and International Studies. I’m passionate about global, social, and environmental issues, always curious and open to new perspectives. My intercultural experiences, including an Erasmus+ semester in the Netherlands and an AFS exchange year in Costa Rica, have shaped my worldview and strengthened my communication skills. Energetic, friendly, and always smiling, I enjoy working both independently and in teams. Outside of studies, I’m actively involved in volunteering, project management, and cultural events that deepen my commitment to making a positive impact.

Benedetta – Logistics

I’m Benedetta, a curious Human Rights student with a strong passion for social justice and human connections. I deeply believe in the magic of life and the healing power of hugs, and I’m also really fond of sunsets, cats and weirdly shaped pottery items. I would describe myself as a chameleon since I have different sides to me that show up depending on the environment I’m in. I like to keep myself busy with many side quests so you’ll most likely find me with a cup of coffee in hand. I’m currently the hosting coordinator of my local chapter and this is going to be my first PEACE Camp ever. I can’t wait to see you all in Bruxelles!

Elena – Logistics

I am Elena Loukani. I am 19 years old. I was born and raised in Greece but my parents are from Albania. I study Public Administration at Panteion University in Athens. I am a dance teacher (hip hop and Greek tradition dance). Last year i had the chance to compete with my team at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship in Phoenix-Arizona in United States of America. When I was 15 years old my life changed when I went to Ireland with AFS for a year. I really really love travelling and meeting people all around the globe. Also love event coordination, reading and songwriting.

Floore – Logistics

I am Floore, 29 years old. In my spare time I like to woodwork, go climbing 1/2 a week, go out with friends. I can also enjoy a good movie/series on a rainy day.
I quit my marketing job end of June, enjoying a free summer at the moment helping my dad with his fruit business and applying for other jobs.

Hanna – Logistics

Hi! My name is Hanna, I’m 26 years old from Norway. I have finished a bachelor’s in Norwegian sign language, and now I study a master’s in Disability and society in Trondheim (the best student city in the world). I have been a volunteer since I finished my exchange in 2017. I’m currently mostly active in my local chapter as the leader, and I just love doing activities for the students living in my city. Other than AFS I love reading, knitting, watching sit-coms (anyone else who loves MASH out there?) playing card and board games (I especially love winning) and I love dancing (even though I’m not very good), and singing karaoke (I’m even worse at singing than dancing). This will be my first time at PEACE and I’m very excited to participate!

Hudson – Logistics

Hello beautiful humans!
 I’m Hudson, originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, but I’ve lived in Denmark since 2007 and represent AFS Denmark. I just finished my MSc in Integrated Food Studies at the University of Copenhagen, building on a BSc in Global Nutrition and Health. I’m passionate about food, nutrition, innovation, and entrepreneurship—especially creating food solutions that support health, sustainability, and the green transition. With AFS, I design training sessions and lead intercultural workshops for exchange students in Denmark and Danish students preparing to go abroad. I speak more than five languages—come ask me if you’re curious which ones! I also love running, football, music, and writing rhymes. I’m fun, full of bad jokes, and always up for a chat. 

This is my first PEACE Camp, and I’m super excited to meet you all!

Joppe – Logistics

Hey all! I’m Joppe, 23 and from Belgium. I love international cuisine, geography and travelling. I’m a very friends and family oriented person and always down for hugs ;). My best and worst trade is that I tend to jap a lot about literally everything. My dream is to one day brew my own beer with an own recipe.

Lea – Logistics

Hi! I’m Lea. I love traveling and moving my body – running, biking, yoga, hiking, you name it (I did track&field for 13 years and, you might not guess, but I can be quite competitive). I love to spend time in nature. I’ve moved many times and have a lot of close friends scattered in different places around Europe. I study Environmental Studies and International Relations, and I care about ecology and sustainability deeply. I’m learning to shoot with my film camera – anytime I have it in my hands, I’m happy and running around like a little kid.

Lucilla – Logistics

Hi everyone! My name is Lucilla and I’m from Italy, though a piece of my heart also belongs to the Czech Republic, where I spent my exchange year back in 2022. When I’m not volunteering for AFS, I work as an ice skating teacher and study physical engineering in Turin. In my free time I’m really into baking, experimenting with my hair color (I’ve been dyeing it for six years now), and doing sports. One thing I absolutely love? Going to the theater to watch ballet! I’m super excited to be here and I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Luna – Logistics

Hiii, my name is Luna and I`m from Serbia. I did my exchange in Italy. I’m studying international relations and Chinese language. I love reading books, watching movies and playing the guitar. I’m a big movies fan and I watched 100 movies this year and some of my favourites are Midsommar, Requiem for a Dream and The Virgin Suicides. I love animals and have four cats. I’m very excited to meet you all!!

Patrick – Logistics

My name is Patrick, I am 19 years old from Dublin Ireland. I won a scholarship in 2023 from EFIL/AFS, which honestly I didn’t believe in myself that I was going to achieve this opportunity. But when I found out I won, I was over the moon!! The exchange to Spain changed my life and my perspectives on the world and how we live differently. I was so attached to Spanish culture and fell in love with the country since being there. I am a very ambitious and goal oriented who makes goals to achieve for my future. I’m very resilient and independent! As people tell me when there’s something I would be interested in Doing, “don’t get your hopes too high” I’m always eager for new things. I enjoy life and want to live it to the full advantage. I am ready to emerge myself in more AFS moments and I’m ready for the AFS effect to bring me more happiness.

Šimon – Logistics

Hey! I’m Šimon from Slovakia. I was an exchange student 2 years ago in the US and since I got back I’ve been actively volunteering for AFS Slovakia. So far I’ve met so many interesting people through AFS so I’m excited to meet you all too. Most recently I went to Germany with AFS in June for the BAM! I enjoyed it so I hope PEACE will be a similarly good experience for me. This year I will graduate high school and hopefully study business abroad either in the US or somewhere in the EU (maybe even in Belgium). I enjoy running and sports in general, plus sustainability as well as business are two of my huge passions. This will be my first time taking part in PEACE and my first time in Belgium so I’m looking forward to everything!

Zezo – Logistics

Hey! I’m Zezo from Turkey. I’m 21 and I did my exchange in Sicily, Italy during 2019/2020. I’ve been volunteering for AFS since 2022, which is when I moved to Ankara to study International Relations. Hopefully I’ll be graduating this year 😀 I have a dog which I’ve been taking care of since she was three months old (she is now four) and her name is Üzüm which means “grape” in Turkish. When I’m not studying, volunteering, or looking after Üzüm, I’m usually hanging out with friends or rooting for Galatasaray in any branch 🙂 This will be my first PEACE Camp so I’m super excited to be part of this amazing team and meet everyone!
