Hello! My name is Txema, I am 39, born and raised in Bilbao (Spain) and part of a formerly very active AFS family. We hosted exchange students from the US, Japan, Sweden, Denmark and all the siblings travelled abroad with AFS, in my case I did a year programme in Iceland in 2000-2001. After my exchange I became a very active volunteer, having been a Board Member of AFS Spain in the period 2004-2010. Eventually I moved for professional reasons to countries where AFS was not present, so my engagement decreased. Now I have been back to the Benelux for 4 years, AFS has always been in my heart and I want to contribute to its mission again!
