Today I just arrived in Tokyo and was welcomed by Tarek, a German intern at the AFS office in Japan.
On our way to my host family we visited Meiji Jingu shrine, what a way to start this week! It was so beautiful.
As for the coming days I am looking forward to getting to know the culture of Japan, get to know Japanese schools and their school system and Japanese food of course. I am very excited to be staying with a host family and to see how a Japanese family lives.
I am looking forward to meeting Saeki and also the rest of the staff at the office, I am sure that I will have a great time working with them.
